Jeff Sanchez
Jeff is a missionary with J-Life USA and together with his wife, Katie, is the Youth Director at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. He also takes on roles as a youth ministry coach for other youth leaders and a speaker at other youth ministries. Jeff has a passion to equip churches to mobilize disciple making movements within their youth ministries. He’s all about creating environments where youth can have a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ and live passionately for Christ and His kingdom.
For over 10 years Jeff worked in the field of architecture and swimming pool design in San Antonio, TX until the Lord called him and Katie into full-time occupational ministry. For 9 years Jeff has been involved in lay leadership at Alamo City Christian Fellowship (ACCF) and Journey Church (San Antonio, TX). At ACCF Jeff was able to co-lead a young adult ministry and revive it, taking it from 3 members to over 25 with active small groups and service projects in a matter of months. At Journey, Jeff and Katie launched the first youth ministry at the church. They started with 5 youth and grew to over 25 committed in a matter of months.
In 2004 Jeff spent the year with J-Life Ministries in South Africa as the leader of a coaching team in Johannesburg. This team took a failing youth ministry from 3 committed youth to 50 with an active student leadership team, in a matter of months.
In addition Jeff has been a part of a thriving sports ministry as a soccer and basketball coach, as well as participated in over a dozen mission trips, spoken at several churches across the world and trained youth leaders in 3 countries.
