Anne Chavarro

Anne Chavarro is a Bronx raised Catholic who came to know the Lord as her personal Savior when she was 21 years old. She met and married her husband, Harold, at Times Square Church in NYC. As young believers they took seriously the Gospel message “to go” that was weekly preached from the pulpit. Soon after marrying and settling in Brooklyn NY, they began serving in Jewish ministry (primarily within the Brooklyn Orthodox community). After 4 years, their ministry shifted to people with Cerebral Palsy (many of whom were Jewish believers).

As their daughters entered the teenage years, Anne and Harold were asked to start up a youth group at their home church in Brooklyn. They soon realized the need for more training and support. Anne began taking classes at New York School of the Bible in both apologetics and youth ministry. Harold studied youth ministry at Nyack College. They were youth leaders for over 6 years and had the awesome privilege and blessing to see teens grow in their faith and begin to move out of their comfort zones.

Anne and her family came to serve on staff for J-Life USA in September 2009. She is joined by her husband Harold, daughters Sarah and Laura, her menagerie of pets and a passion to mobilize a generation of youth to reach their generation!
